Quaderno UP - UP notebook

International folks, please scroll down!

It's time for a new advenure also for teachers. My dear friend Laura is teaching in a kindergarten and long ago asked me to realize a notebook to take notes of her class activities and improvements. She asked for a notebook inspired from the movie UP, with pages stamped with floral images. Very well!
We decided to insert different colors for different sections in the notebook and to realize it using a 20cmx15cm format. To bind it I used my beloved Cinch.
The front page is realized in blue cardstock on which I applied a little house from an old hand carved stamp realized by Alessandra, a.k.a. Cocorie. I colored it trying to use the same colors of Carl's house in the movie, then I cut it with scissors. For the baloons I used different colors of paper diecutted with Paper Smooches Big Baloons Dies, then I tied the lower balloons to the house with a little twine. For the grass I used Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die, while for the back of the cover I stamped the "hello you" sentiment from Lawn Fawn set Scripty Sayings to create a heart shaped baloon.
The other pages are stamped with some flowers in black Versafine using Hero Arts Wildflower Garden and Penny Black Touch of Whimsy. At the end of the notebook I create a pocket in which Laura could treasure all drawings and love letters from her class...you know...children are always in love with their beautiful teachers!
