Periodo di grande riordino in casa Blackbirds. Mi sono giusto ritagliata il tempo per creare questo banner per Halloween. Almeno una cosuccia l'ho fatta, così ho messo a tacere allo stesso tempo la me creativa, che ultimamente faceva crescere il mio senso di colpa, e la me maniaca del controllo, che sta cercando in tutti i modi di rimettere in sesto una casa che si lamenta da troppo tempo.
Il risultato è questo banner semplice, in cui ciascun pezzo ha una sua identità. Mi sono divertita molto a crearlo, ho usato alcuni set e alcune fustelle presi e mai usati, che è sempre una cosa buona. Prima di tutto ho creato le mie basi con il cartoncino colorato, usando la Banner Punch Board di We R Memory Keepers e le lettere della scritta BOO con la Alphabet Punch Board, sempre di We R Memory Keepers.
Per il banner nero ho usato quasi tutti gli elementi del set Happy Haunting di Lawn Fawn, timbrati con inchiostro Unicorn White di Hero Arts. L'unica chicca è che ho riempito le finestre e la luna con il Nuvo Banana Split Glow in the Dark, che come dice il nome si illumina al buio...perfetto per Halloween!
Sul banner bianco ho invece creato delle polka dots usando gli inchiostri Hero Arts con il blending tool tondo dei Distress Inks; si poteva fare la stessa cosa anche con gli inchiostri Distress ovviamente.
Il banner arancione è banalmente timbrato a ripetizione in nero con le due zucche del set Whitch Way is the Candy di My Favorite Things.
Il banner verde riproduce la testa di uno zombie o del mostro di Frankestein; ho tagliato a mano una striscia di capelli e ho incollato un paio d'occhi sulla O, che sembra una bocca spalancata.
Per il banner viola ho voluto creare una sorta di paesaggio: sono partita tagliando le stelle con la fustella Starry Skies di Lawn Fawn e la luna con la fustella coordinata al set di My Favorite Things, applicando sul fondo un cartoncino giallo per dare colore. Ho poi timbrato i diversi elementi del set, colorati con le matite Prismacolor e applicati al banner.
Nel complesso sono felice del risultato, ma sono soprattutto felice di aver rubato un po' di tempo alle altre cose per fare qualcosa che mi rendesse felice.

I'm having very busy days at home trying to give new order to the mess all around, but I took some time just to create a new Halloween banner. I created all the flags with the Banner Punch Board and the BOO script with the Alphabet Punch Board. Then I decorated them using different sets. For the black flag I used Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting stamped with Hero Arts Unicorn white ink...then I added Nuvo Banana Split Glow in the Dark for the moon and the Windows, just to have a creepy look for Halloween night. For the white flag I used Distress blending tool to create colored polka dots. On the orange flag I stamped in black the pumpkins from My Favorite Things Witch Way is the Candy set. The green flag is a monster head with a O open mouth...I simply fussy cut some hair and apply two big eyes to the O. On the violet flag I die cut Lawn Fawn Starry Skies and the coordinating die for the moon of My Favorite Things set. Then stamped and colored all the other images to create a night scene.
I'm really happy about how it tourned out, and I'm happy I could spend some time doing what makes me happy! So...Happy Halloween Night!
