Per la prima volta ho deciso di partecipare al contest di My Favorite Things e così ho creato questa card per la categoria Clean & Simple Genius del Card Design Superstar 2023.
Inizialmente avevo in mente tutt'altra cosa, ma considerato che le prove non mi avevano convinto, ho deciso di usare questo timbro che fa parte del set Better Together.
Ho timbrato l'immagine principale usando un inchiostro sui toni del grigio, coprendola poi con masking paper, in modo da poter creare le linee arcobaleno con i Distress Oxide nei colori Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry e Festive Berries. Una volta che l'arcobaleno era ben asciutto ho rimosso la mascheratura e ho colorato con le matite Caste Art.
L'idea della card era di illuminare e colorare solo le parti dell'immagine comprese nei raggi dell'arcobaleno, mentre ho voluto lasciare in colore scuro le piccole porzioni al di fuori. Ho completato la card con il sentiment timbrato in nero e ho creato una busta coordinata in un colore freddo a contrasto, che ho timbrato con il timbro Repeating Rainbows Background.
Avevo voglia di una card dai colori caldi e avvolgenti e il risultato mi piace molto, inoltre questo timbro è davvero bello ed è stata un ottima occasione per usarlo!
For the first time ever I entered the MFT Design Superstar ccontest with this card for the Clean & Simple Genius cathegory. My first idea was really different, but then I decided to use this cute stamp from the set Better Together. I stamped the image in grey ink, then I covered it with masking paper and used Distress Oxide inks to create my rainbow in Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries. Once I took out the masking paper I colored the image with pencils and stamped the sentiment in black. I am so much happy with the result, especially because I wanted to use warm colors and I think I got it! I also created a matching envelope stamping it with Repeating Rainbows Background stamp. I really hope you like ut as much as I do!
