A questo punto San Valentino è già pesantemente nell'aria e anche io cedo al romanticismo. So che i limoni non sono esattamente sinonimo di dolcezza, ma io li adoro, amo il loro profumo, la sferzata che riescono a donare ai cibi e alle bevande, il colore acceso e la loro consistenza. La buccia è un tripudio di essenza, per non parlare poi del profumo dei fiori della pianta di limone, quello si, davvero, dolcissimo!
Così quando sono uscite queste fustelle Zesty Lemon Cuts di Lawn Fawn non ho resistito e le ho prese subito, sono davvero un set ricco di dettagli e molto versatile. Per questa card ho scelto di usare la versione dei limoni con le facce.
Sono partita da una base in carta da acquerello che ho passato con la fustella Stitched Ripple Backdrop sempre di Lawn Fawn su cui ho colorato lo sfondo con un tono di rosa schizzando poi con delle gocce di acquerello oro. Ho tagliato poi le varie parti andando a colorare e sfumare con i tamponi Distress Oxide per donare un po' di dimensione ai limoni e alle foglie.

Valentine Day is in the air and with this card I wanted to celebrate my deep love for lemons! I love them for their color and parfume, the good taste in the recipes and in drinks, the zest and obviously for the sweetness of the flowers! For this card I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Ripple Backdrop die on watercolor paper, adding then a little pink watercolor bacground with golden drops. Then I cut out all the pieces from the Lawn Fawn Zesty Lemon Cuts to create the two lovely lemons, adding some shades of Distress Oxide ink to the fruits and the leaves for a little dimension. In the end I glued all the tiny pieces to create the faces and stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings stamp set. I really hope you like it...and let me know if you love lemons too!
